The Alimba Story

Alimba is the workout routine that fits perfectly into your life. 


We use biomechanics & physics principles to build muscle. This means your workouts are as efficient and effective as possible, without wearing down your body and joints.


During each workout, you will focus on working individual muscle groups to allow for the most effective work to that muscle. Each week of classes is also scheduled for you. This means you won't be scrolling endlessly trying to find a workout (and landing on the same full body workout you always do. We know, we have been there). You also won't see us using any gimmicky marketing language about "toning", "slimming your thighs" or "30 day shreds". We are here to build strong, healthy bodies and mindsets.


Consistency and building a strong body is key. Alimba allows you to maintain a consistent routine without having to take time off with injuries and without the mental load of working out what workouts to do on what days. 


Alimba is a movement. It is a new way of working out - for life.

Meet Our Instructors

Ali

Aka. Al, Al-pal, Bessy.
After spending over 15 years focusing on high intensity workouts with a “burning calories” mentality, Ali's body started to break down. This manifested in hormonal issues and injuries. Meanwhile, Ali was also working as a lawyer in law firms and corporate companies, with long hours, allowing little time to focus on fitness.

It wasn’t until she suffered a back injury that it clicked. Something had to change. 

Ali studied a more effective way to work out, focusing on building strength and stability and not ineffectively attempting to make the body as small as possible. 

After undertaking her 200-hour Evlo method certification, Ali utilised her personal training qualification and corporate background to create Alimba Movement.

Maria

Aka. Marzy, Marzymar.
Maria is our very own Canadian pocket rocket.

Maria has a Bachelors Degree in Health Education, is a certified Pilates teacher and has over 10 years experience working in the fitness industry.

In recent years she has focused her training and education on longevity. She finds relief in the fact that exercise doesn’t have to be gruelling or something we feel depleted from, but rather something that builds us up, and leaves us feeling energised and satisfied.

Maria loves to help people feel more like themselves. Her classes are energising and fun, but don’t let her sweet side fool you … one second you will be smiling along and before you know it your booty will be burnin’.
